The first wines under the Huber label debuted with
the 2000 vintage. Proprietors Norman and Traudl Huber
are dedicated to growing grapes of flavor and quality
and crafting wines of distinction. All Huber wines
are handcrafted in small lots to ensure the highest
quality expression of the estate vineyard and the
Sta. Rita Hills area.
Sta. Rita Hills is a small appellation encompassing
just 100 square miles. The cool climate, ocean breezes, coastal fog and
the incredible soils of the Sta. Rita Hills area all come together to create
the perfect climate for growing exceptional winegrapes that then become the
award winning Huber Cellars wines. Of course, the personal commitment to
excellence by the talented winegrower Norm Huber, who directly manages the
vineyard, must not be underestimated or forgotten. His dedication to quality
