Estate Pinot Noir 2009

A favorite of Pinot lovers near and far, this enviable wine enjoys a rich, brilliant ruby-like hue. A swirl in the glass releases an enticing aroma with subtle notes of cherry and berries along with just a hint of smokiness. Generous up front wild cherry, then hints of cola, plum and blueberry. The fruit turns supple in the mid-palate with a refined and full-bodied finish. Our 2009 Pinot is drinking beautifully now and will continue to develop complexity for some time. Cellar through 2019.

Estate Pinot Noir 2008 - Barrel Select

The beautiful garnet color and soft indulgent aromas of violets, dried cherries, and plum entice the palate and foretell of deep and intense fruit features that showcase our estate Pinot Noir. On the palate it is medium bodied with a silky decadent, viscous texure. The flavors are of dark fruits accented with dried herbs. The acidity is well balanced and the finish has an herbaceous and slightly floral quality to it. This wine is excellent when first opened, but for best enjoyment let it sit 20-30 minutes.

Estate Dornfelder 2011

Dark in color with a complex aroma of spices, tart huckleberry and other wild berries. On the palate brilliant berry flavors. Current, blackberry and plum blend with intriging spices that carry all the way through to the lingering finish. A beautifully structured wine that is very food friendly. Pairs exceptionally well with anything off the grill. Decant, drink and enjoy!

Estate Dornfelder 2010 Charlotte's Reserve  (Sold Out)

The 20010Charlotte’s Reserve, made from the Dornfelder grape, is both dark and seductive. The wine is opaque; the color is most often described as deep garnet.

A swirl produces an array of tears that slide down the glass releasing an immense fruity bouquet. Aromatically it’s a powerhouse with the rich opulent nose of concentrated black fruit bringing you back to the glass time and again.

In honor of our beloved Charlotte, a portion of the proceeds benefits the Santa Ynez Humane Society.

Dornfelder is a grape that is native to Germany, but thrives in our cool climate Sta. Rita Hills vineyard. It produces inky dark wines, chock full of dark fruit flavors and spicy character. To our delight, we found that these hardy grapes can also produce an intense and intriguing dessert wine when harvested late.
