This is one of the classic holiday pairings. Whether you roast or fry
your turkey, the slight gaminess of the bird is beautifully contrasted
with the silky berry notes of the wine.
A first taste of our 2006
estate Pinot Noir reveals notes of raspberry, smoke and peppery spice, all
enveloped in a silky and soft texture. There is a nice lift of bright acid
on the finish, which reinforces the cherry notes along with hints of cola
and whole clove. We recommend decanting this wine and allowing it to
breathe a little before your feast!
And we know times are tough (for us farmers too!), but we do want to
make sure you can have a few bottles of Pinot Noir with that meal. From
now until the end of November, our 2006 Pinot Noir is just $34 per
bottle.
