Dear Norman & Traudl,
It's Harvest time here in Santa Barbara County - an exciting,
exhilarating and exhausting time of year! We have had a picture perfect
growing season throughout 2005,but it is still a bit nerve racking when we
have to choose that one perfect day to harvest our wine grapes. We're also
getting ready to release some of our 2004 wines, and we would like to
invite you to come join in the festivities!

Celebration of Harvest Festival |

We'll be joining the 100+ members of the Santa Barbara County Vintners'
Association to celebrate harvest on Saturday, October 8th. Please plan to
join us on the beautiful grounds of the Rancho Sisquoc Winery in Santa
Maria for an afternoon of wine, food, music and just plain good times.
We'll be pouring all of our latest releases, including the 2004
Dornfelder! Local restaurateurs and caterers will be cooking up their most
creative appetizers, and there will be live and lively music from three
bands. We recommend that you bring along a blanket and a picnic lunch and
stake out your place among the majestic oaks of the winery, and bring your
dancing shoes! The Festival runs from 1:00 4:00 p.m., and bus
transportation is available from Santa Barbara, Solvang or Santa Maria. We
hope to see you there!

We all love Autumn - the weather is beautiful, Norm is up to his elbows
in grapes and the harvest, and Traudl is busy in the kitchen with canning
and those wonderful foods of the season. It's a great time for friends to
get together! We would like to invite you to visit us at our home and
vineyard during the Celebration of Harvest weekend so that we can toast
the season, the vintage and the company of friends.
Please come on by the vineyard from 11 a.m. until 5:00 pm on Friday,
Saturday and Monday, October 7th, 9th and 10th. (Saturday, we'll be out at
the Festival). We'll be pouring our newest releases as well as some
library wines. See Dornfelder on the vine (you'll be amazed) and then
experience it in the glass! And the harvest of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
might be right about then, so don't be surprised if you're in the thick of
the action (we won't make you pick grapes, we promise!)
We're located at 4892 Hapgood Road, off of Highway 246 between Buellton
and Lompoc - near Babcock and Melville, but on the opposite side of the
road. We hope to see you soon!

We'll be releasing our newest wines during Celebration of Harvest
weekend, and we are very pleased with the vintage - and we
think you will be too. The wines are still undergoing a little bottle
aging, so we'll be posting tasting notes and information on the new
releases on the website in the next week or so. So, stay tuned -- more on
the new wines in the very near future!
