Estate Chardonnay 2008 Unoaked
Unoaked Chardonnays are all about the fruit. If you don't have beautiful, perfect fruit that is the
epitome of the varietal, this style is simply not attempted. The 2008 Chardonnay "Unoaked" is both
an illustration of the grape and of the 2008 vintage. Concentrated flavors of Granny Smith apples and
Anjou pears on the nose are whisked across the palate with a zippy crispness and lilting acidity. The
gravelly, mineral laden note of the vineyard mingles with a subtle tropicality reminiscent of just ripe
pineapple and kumquats. Hints of lemongrass linger on the finish. Brisk and refreshing,
superb with fish!

Perfection in a glass!! Medium gold in color, our Huber Cellars 2007 barrel fermented Chardonnay is
polished and sleek with a crisp minerality coupled with vibrant fruit notes.
French oak barrel aging adds a creamy texture balanced with a silky luxurious quality that glides
across the palate. Hints of green apple with citrus highlights gain strength on the clean, impressively
persistent finish making this wine elegantly crisp, beautifully balanced and wonderfully refreshing.
Lush, exotic fruit on the nose and a silky, luxurious texture glides across the palate delivering
notes of stone fruit and a hint of tangelo that mingle with the flinty characteristic of the vineyard.
Lively acidity balances the fruit, and the finish is lasting, refreshing and demanding of a second sip.
The 2007 Chardonnay pairs extremely well with rich seafood dishes such as scallops or crab, as well
as poultry dishes with cream sauces. It is also delightful on its own as an aperitif!

Estate Pinot Noir Barrel Select 2007
Already lauded by wine critics, this barrel select cuvee was created from Clone 667 Pinot Noir
grapes; Not a blend, ensuring a more concentrated, complex and powerful wine. The color is the
first to impress: ruby red with garnet edges. A first sip rewards the palate as the wine's smooth
and silky texture glides over the taste buds with flavors of cranberry, red plum skin, and spicy
allusions to clove. All the while the lilting acidity lifts the wine, while soft tannins linger
and mingle with lasting berry and spice.
Super smooth and balanced. Aged 15 months in the barrel; only 90 cases produced.
This is the ultimate food wine! While the moderate degree of tannin pairs perfectly with meats,
especially those with a degree of fattiness, the utter smoothness of the wine enables it to pair
equally as well with fish, chicken, lamb or pork. In fact, this Barrel Select Pinot is the perfect
compliment to whatever you may be serving.

Estate Pinot Noir 2008
Deep garnet in color, the Huber Cellars 2008 Pinot Noir bursts on the nose with a blend of fresh
crushed berries, dark cherry and peppery spice. A quick swirl in the glass further releases bright
raspberry and dried strawberry notes of the wine’s bouquet.
The mouth is rich and seamless, exhibiting a wonderful silky texture and concentrated berry flavors
joined by hints of vanilla, cola, and whole clove. This sleek, smooth, easy to drink wine has a finish
that is both lengthy and satisfying, with a nice lift of well-balanced acidity.
As this alluring Pinot is certainly one of the most versatile food wines, you’ll want to keep several
bottles in reserve. This will pair well with many of your favorite dishes including smoked, roasted,
or barbecued meats such as chicken, turkey or pork; and richly flavored sweet vegetables like bell
peppers, tomatoes, red beets and carmelized onions, and it plays especially nice with creamy sauces
and spicy seasonings.
We recommend that you decant this wine, allowing it to breathe a bit before serving. The 2008 Pinot
Noir is excellent now, but will continue to improve with cellaring.

Estate Dornfelder 2007
The first impression is the astounding, inky color of the wine - its signature trait. Almost black,
the dark indigo wine sports reddish-purple edges. A swirl produces glycerin-like "legs" as the wine
cascades its deep color down the sides of the glass and unleashes a perfumed nose of violets mingling
with sweet tobacco leaf, camphor and rich earth. The velvety texture glides the wine across the palate
with framboise, pepper spice and red plum skin mingling with blueberry and dried fig, along with a hint
of black strap molasses at the finish.
Beautiful, bright acidity and superb balance make this a wine that will pair beautifully with grilled
meats and rich, ripe, soft cheeses. Will continue to improve with 3-5 years of additional cellaring.

Estate Dornfelder 2008 Charlotte’s Reserve
The 2008 Charlotte’s Reserve, made from the Dornfelder grape, is both dark and seductive. The
wine is opaque; the color is most often described as deep garnet.
A swirl produces an array of tears that slide down the glass releasing an immense fruity bouquet.
Aromatically it’s a powerhouse with the rich opulent nose of concentrated black fruit bringing you back
to the glass time and again. The aromas of the wine are reinforced by the first taste, which bursts on
the tongue with massive fruits like concentrated raspberry, and a touch of blackberry jam mingled with
hint of dried cherry. The texture is dense, but smooth, and the lingering finish is well-balanced with
nicely integrated tannins.
Charlotte’s Reserve pairs beautifully with meats that are grilled or roasted. After dinner enjoy this wine
with a slice of chocolate cake, or a variety of hard cheeses. Excellent now, but will continue to improve
with 3-5 years of additional cellaring. Cheers for Charlotte!
Charlotte’s Reserve is a two-barrel reserve bottling of 2008 Dornfelder that features a hand-waxed
seal and special label. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Santa Ynez Humane Society.

Hafen 2010
The name “Hafen” - German for "port" gives you the clue - a wine made from Dornfelder grapes
that have been left in the vineyard to develop extra sugar and flavors. The result is a great dessert wine
with an intriguing balance of fruit, sweetness, acidity and tannins. Dornfelder is a grape that is native
to Germany, but thrives in our cool climate Sta. Rita Hills vineyard. It produces inky dark wines, chock
full of dark fruit flavors and spicy character. To our delight, we found that these hardy grapes can also
produce an intense and intriguing dessert wine when harvested late.
